Consider this.

Boris Johnson, an innately radical politician, leads an innately conservative party.

Keir Starmer, an innately conservative politician, leads an innately radical party.

  1. As a Labour Party member for many many years, I can only say that if anyone thinks Labour is radical is either hopeful or has been looking at the wrong party. With the exception of the ghastly Momentum aka Militant Tendency, party members are deeply conservative. They just want to conserve different things than the Tories.
